1. Who operates Home & Hybrid

Home & Hybrid is operated by Steven Peters, trading as Home & Hybrid . Steven Peters is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

Contact: support@homeandhybrid.co.uk

Home & Hybrid does not currently sell job listings or other paid services. Appropriate business-address and payment disclosures will be added before paid services are introduced.

2. Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, encrypted password, account role and status, email-verification status, recent login information, and any two-factor authentication settings or recovery codes you enable.

Security and technical information: session identifiers, IP addresses, browser or device information, request metadata and security-related records used to operate and protect the service.

Job-board activity: candidate feedback votes linked to your account and records of outbound application-link clicks. Click records may include the job, time, account identifier when signed in, IP address and browser information.

Browser storage: saved jobs, hidden jobs and recent searches may be stored locally in your browser. This information may remain on your device until you clear it.

Correspondence: information you provide when contacting support or otherwise communicating with Home & Hybrid.

3. How and why we use information

We use account information to create and administer accounts, verify email addresses, authenticate users, provide account-security features and respond to account requests. This is necessary to provide the service you request.

We use technical, session and click information to operate the website, prevent misuse, investigate faults, maintain security and understand whether important site functions are working. These uses are based on our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable service.

Candidate votes are used to produce aggregated feedback about jobs and employers. Votes remain linked to an account while that account exists so duplicate voting can be prevented and totals can be maintained.

We may also process information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, establish or defend legal claims, or respond to lawful requests.

4. Cookies and local storage

Home & Hybrid uses essential cookies and similar technologies required for sign-in, session security, fraud prevention and form protection. These cannot be disabled through the website because the service would not function securely without them.

Browser local storage may be used for saved jobs, hidden jobs and recent searches. You can remove this information by clearing site data in your browser.

Home & Hybrid does not currently use optional analytics or advertising cookies. Optional analytics will not be activated without an appropriate consent mechanism and an update to this policy.

5. Who receives information

Information may be processed by suppliers that provide website hosting, database, security, email-delivery and technical-support services. They may process information only as needed to provide those services and subject to appropriate contractual and security requirements.

When you follow an application link, you leave Home & Hybrid and the employer or external recruitment website will process information under its own privacy policy. Home & Hybrid does not receive the application you submit on that external service unless clearly stated.

We do not sell personal information.

6. International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we will use providers and safeguards intended to protect information in accordance with applicable UK data-protection law.

7. How long information is retained

Account information is normally kept while your account remains active. You can permanently delete an eligible job-seeker account through Account Security.

When an account is deleted, its candidate votes are removed and the affected aggregate totals are recalculated. Saved-job records linked to the account are removed. Account links on outbound-click records are removed, while limited de-identified click data may be retained for security and aggregate reporting.

Expired database sessions are automatically pruned. Password-reset tokens expire automatically. Security, click and correspondence records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, including fraud prevention, troubleshooting and legal obligations.

Information held in your browser remains there until you clear it or remove it using available browser or site controls.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise a right, email support@homeandhybrid.co.uk . We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Details are available at ico.org.uk .

9. Security

We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information, including encrypted passwords, email verification, session controls, request throttling and optional two-factor authentication. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Children

Home & Hybrid is intended for people seeking work and is not directed at children under 16. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the service, suppliers or legal requirements change. The latest version will always be published on this page with its effective date.
